WRITE
As soon as we are through with the first call with the director (sometimes, even after listening to the voice note or recorded agency call); we get to the writing. Each script is unique and so is the requirement of the treatment. Writing down the text gives us an idea of how to take forward the design and visuals. It also helps the team read the nuances that you want to add to the script so as to start looking for pictures and videos accordingly.
DESIGN
After the first draft, we get to designing. The brand colours, the director’s aesthetic taste, the script’s narrative, the director’s overall vision – a lot gets into play while decoding the exact design we want to go forward with. From the font to the index to the opening page to the images gallery – everything is customised according to the current requirement. The directors who often work with us will vouch for how we have always given them script appropriate design layouts and not followed some template, however tight the deadline may be.
REFERENCE
Lastly, but most importantly – the right visual references for the written word. We have a team of young advertising enthusiasts who keep on collecting and sorting as many references as they can. ‘Jo dikhta hain, woh bikta hain’ and we ensure that all that is in the mind is there in the pictures. For extremely specific references, we even storyboard (with or without extra costs depending on the requirement).
